The next Google Wave User Group will include Sydney's Northside Coffee Mornings - an informal networking group which meets every Thursday in Mosman.  The group interacts online via Twitter (using the #nscm hashtag) and their own Posterous-powered Blog

When registering: if you have a Twitter account please include that so we can connect with you there too.

In January, Iggy Pintado suggested #nscm start a Wave weekly discussion group, which I set up for the group.  A week later I thought to include Googler Pamela Fox and User Group Manager Brett Morgan to the Wave.  Brett tweeted to ask if we'd like to get involved in the next User Group.  Brett has also kept in contact with #nscm regular Frances Jones who attended one of the earlier Wave User Groups and wrote an excellent blog post about her experience with Wave and the User Group.  I am expecting Frances will speak about her experiences at this user group too.

The first few User Groups have been mainly technical in nature and have included many of the Google Wave engineers as well as external developers explaining what they've been doing with Wave and helping us make sense of it all.

This time, user group manager Brett Morgan would like to adopt a more business-oriented approach to the user group.

A good approach for this user group is in the form of an interactive session, much like the popular BarCamp unconference.  All are welcome to speak.  Please nominate yourself by contacting us via the Contact option on the registration page.

Draft Agenda:

Brett: 6pm Intro

Tony: Intro #nscm to the user group, tell some stories about how we've been using Wave and how it complements our group.

Frances: Lead a discussion about how #nscm has been using Wave, and encourage others to share their stories.

Iggy: lots of stories and facilitate a discussion/questions on how we can use Wave from a business perspective.

Pamela: Ways 2 use Wave? Wave @ Google? Wrike? Questions?

Other speakers: join our planning Wave and nominate people or yourself.  As you register here, we will add you to the planning Wave.
 

To keep on track we will have approx 20mins per speaker - this allows for various stories to be told, all the while the audience is encouraged to interact.

This would be a highly interactive discussion - all attendees can contribute and we hope a healthy and open discussion occurs.

During the user group we can use Wave to record and demonstrate to the group our learnings.

The event formally concludes at 9pm where I understand many head out for drinks and more discussion!
